About Lesson

Welcome to Day 4 of the mindfulness challenge.

Did you do the mindful feeling exercise yet? I hope you found it helpful.
Today we’re going to be discussing the tasty subject of mindful eating.

Reflection:

When sharing breakfast, lunch or dinner, how many people do you notice actually paying attention to what they are eating.

Some may rush through their meals, wanting to quickly move to the next thing. Others may mindlessly scroll through their phone, not giving any thought to the food in front of them.

Eating past the point of fullness.

Eating to numb feelings, or consuming sugary snacks and coffee for quick bursts of energy. What if during the good times and the not so good times, there was an opportunity to savour and enjoy the experience of eating and experience fully, how food  stimulates the mind and body?

Through mindful eating, you connect your mind and body. You truly taste what you’re eating, feeling textures and nuances of flavours. Just by focusing on the beautiful experience of eating.

Mindful eating allows every meal to be a celebration.

“Eating is not only nourishing for the body, but also for the mind.”
